Archer's web browser
Archer is the home assistant in the Archer app. When a homeowner asks it to look something up or get something done online, Archer may visit your site to do it.
When Archer visits
- Only when a homeowner asks. For example, to check a product's warranty terms, compare service plans, or fill in a booking form.
- It opens the pages that task needs and stops. It doesn't crawl your site, follow links across it, or build an index.
- Archer never submits a form on its own. The homeowner reviews and approves each submission first.
How to recognize it
Archer's browser adds this to a standard Chrome user agent:

Add Archer to your robots.txt:
User-agent: Archer
Disallow: /Before Archer's browser opens a page, it reads your site's robots.txt and won't open pages it disallows. If your robots.txt can't be read, Archer stays away.
